MAY/JUNE PRESIDENT'S LETTER

The sold-out Golf Tournament was a tremendous success, bringing together our members for a day of friendly competition, networking, and community impact. Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our sponsors and members—and to Brandon Ward and Stephen Minks—OCAPL was able to raise and donate $33,200 in support of OK Kids Korral. If you're not already familiar with this organization, I encourage you to learn more about the comprehensive support they offer to entire families during a child's cancer treatment.

The 71st AAPL Annual Meeting was held in Kansas City, MO. As is typical, it was an enriching experience, offering a perfect blend of networking opportunities and insightful speakers that left attendees both inspired and better connected. From industry leaders to emerging voices, the speaker lineup delivered thought-provoking sessions that sparked meaningful conversations.

OCAPL was honored to receive the Best Newsletter (Large Association) and Community Service Awards. I’d like to thank Josh Clark, Katie McDonald, Lindsey Owen, Michael Brock, and Jordan Volino for their time and effort in helping OCAPL achieve recognition like this. A special thanks as well to our members—your ongoing contributions are what continue to make our association stronger. We hope to see everyone in Salt Lake City for the 72nd Annual Meeting in June 2026.

The Thunder basketball season was a historic triumph, as OKC captured its first NBA Championship. The celebration reached its peak during the championship parade through downtown Oklahoma City. The event united the city in celebration and marked a milestone in the team's journey. More than just a victory lap, the parade symbolized how far both the franchise and the city have come—and celebrated the promise of what’s still ahead.

Speaking of what’s to come, our upcoming calendar is packed with opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate with our amazing members. Each event is designed to strengthen our network, foster collaboration, and continue bringing the energy that defines not only our association, but our city.

Keep an eye out for registration and sponsorship information for both the OCAPL Sporting Clays Tournament and the OCAPL Pickleball event. We can’t wait to see familiar faces and welcome new ones—this is a great time to be a part of OCAPL!
