MAY/JUNE PRESIDENT'S LETTER

I hope everyone’s summer is going great! I had the opportunity to attend AAPL’s annual meeting last week in Boston, where OCAPL won Local Association of the Year! This award is for the best overall organization when factoring in many different variables. This speaks to OCAPL’s leadership team and their tireless work on the newsletter, speakers, volunteer events, written articles by our membership, and our director’s communication to our organization. It was great to see so many OCAPL members in attendance; even though the weather was unseasonably hot the first two days, it cooled off and made for great weather to explore the city and its rich history.

Later in July, we have our Summer Social on 7/25 at Chalk Sports from 5:30 to 7:30. An email with the details has been sent, and I hope those who aren’t on vacation during that time can attend. After our summer social, the sport clays tournament returns to Silverleaf Shotgun Sports on August 23rd. Brian Lowry and his committee have done an outstanding job on this event over the years, and I look forward to another great event.

Since it’s Summer, I’m going to keep this short. I hope everyone has made time to relax and enjoy time with their friends and family!
